Naval Academy Midshipman to speak to Maury 7th Graders

Midshipman 3C Maggie Johnson, United States Naval Academy, will be visiting Maury on November 29th to speak to students. She is a Maury and Jefferson County High School Alumni.She will begin the day before school leading FCA. During 7th grade PE/RA/CTE classes, Midshipman Johnson will share about USNA and her experience as a student there. She will also be sharing about her time at JCHS, the classes she took, clubs and extracurricular activities she participated in which helped her in obtaining Congressional Nominations and an Appointment to the United States Naval Academy, as well as acceptance to several other universities. Midshipman Johnson is a Chemistry major, a member of the USNA Drum and Bugle Corp, Midshipman Action Group, Mountaineering Club, Medical Club and Chemistry Clubs, a mentor in the Midshipman Group Study Program, Company Peer Advisor for 1st Company Shipmates, and a member of BCM, Baptist Collegiate Ministries. We welcome Midshipman Johnson back to Maury.
